Key Ingredients- 4 fresh strawberries
- 1 ripe kiwi
- 1 ripe banana
- 4 slices of toasted bread
- 3 Tbsp cream cheese
- 3 Tbsp Nutella
- A little sliced almonds for topping
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the fruits beautifully for your sandwiches. Remove the stems from the strawberries and slice them thinly, either into quarters or halves. Peel the kiwi and slice it into half-moons or bite-sized pieces. Peel the banana and slice it into rounds about 1cm thick. It’s best to slice the fruits into a size that’s easy to eat and not too mushy for a pleasant texture.
Step 2
Toast the bread until it’s golden brown. Lightly toasting it in a toaster or on a pan will make the sandwich texture much better, with a crispy exterior and a soft interior. If you like, you can also lightly toast the bread with butter for an enhanced flavor.
Step 3
Spread your chosen spreads thinly on the warm, toasted bread slices. On one slice, spread a thin layer of smooth cream cheese. On the other slice, spread the sweet Nutella. The cream cheese adds a slightly tangy flavor, while the Nutella provides a rich chocolate taste, creating a fantastic harmony with the fruits. You can also mix and spread both if you prefer.
Step 4
Finally, artfully arrange the prepared fresh fruits on top of the spread-covered bread. Place the strawberries, kiwi, and banana to create a visually appealing arrangement. Sprinkle a little sliced almonds on top for a nutty crunch and added flavor. For an extra touch of elegance, you can garnish with a mint leaf. Your beautiful fruit open sandwiches are now ready!
