Main Ingredients
  • 1 bowl of cooked Gyeonggimi Chamdream rice (warm)
  • 90g imitation crab sticks (surimi)
  • 50g onion (approx. 1/4 small onion)
  • 20g carrot (approx. 1/10 small carrot)
  • 20g green onion (approx. 1/4 stalk)
  • 1 egg

Seasoning & Others
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2-3 Tbsp canola oil
  • A pinch of toasted sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

To begin making this delicious fried rice, first prepare all the necessary ingredients meticulously. It’s best to use freshly cooked, warm rice to enhance the flavor of your fried rice.

Step 2

Gently shred the imitation crab sticks lengthwise, or finely chop them into bite-sized pieces (about 1cm). Finely mince the onion and carrot for a tender texture when cooked. Slice the green onion thinly, ready to be used for aroma.

Step 3

Heat a deep pan or wok over medium-low heat. Add 2-3 tablespoons of canola oil and spread it evenly across the pan.

Step 4

Add the thinly sliced green onions to the heated pan. Sauté them over low heat to release their fragrant aroma into the oil. Be careful not to burn them.

Once the green onion aroma has infused the oil, add the minced carrot and onion to the pan and stir-fry them together. Cooking the vegetables until they become translucent will bring out their natural sweetness.
