Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup ground beef
  • 70g pizza cheese
  • 1 serving spaghetti noodles
  • 2 Tbsp corn kernels
  • Pinch of salt (for beef seasoning)
  • 2 Tbsp cooking oil

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, let’s prepare all our ingredients. Thinly slice the onion and mince the garlic. If using frozen shrimp, rinse them under cold water to lightly thaw.

Step 1

Step 2

Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-low heat.

Step 2

Step 3

Add the sliced garlic to the preheated pan. Gently sauté until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Step 3

Step 4

Once the garlic is fragrant, add the sliced onions and cook until they become translucent. Sautéing them well will bring out their natural sweetness.

Step 4

Step 5

In a separate bowl, place the ground beef. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and gently mix it in. This seasoning helps remove any gamey odor and infuses flavor into the beef.

Step 5

Step 6

Add the seasoned ground beef to the pan. Break it apart with your spatula and cook until it’s browned thoroughly.

Step 6

Step 7

Add the thawed shrimp to the pan with the beef and onions. Stir and cook along with the other ingredients. Shrimp cook quickly, so avoid overcooking them.

Step 7

Step 8

Meanwhile, in a large pot, bring plenty of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and cook the spaghetti noodles according to package directions until al dente.

Step 8

Step 9

Drain the cooked spaghetti, but do NOT rinse it with cold water! Rinsing washes away the starch, preventing the sauce from adhering properly. Keep the pasta warm.

Step 9

Step 10

Add the corn kernels to the skillet with the beef and vegetables. Stir briefly to combine. The corn will add a lovely touch of sweetness to the dish.

Step 10

Step 11

Now, pour in a generous amount of your store-bought tomato spaghetti sauce. Using plenty of sauce is key to a flavorful and moist spaghetti dish.

Step 11

Step 12

Add the cooked spaghetti noodles to the skillet. Toss everything together until the noodles are well coated with the sauce and all ingredients are evenly mixed. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, tossing, to allow the pasta to absorb the sauce.

Step 12

Step 13

Once mixed, sprinkle the pizza cheese evenly over the top. You can cover the pan briefly for the cheese to melt, or gently stir it in. The melted cheese adds a wonderful creaminess and flavor.

Step 13

Step 14

Your delicious Beef and Tomato Spaghetti is ready! Now, let’s plate it up beautifully.

Step 14

Step 15

Here’s a pro tip for plating spaghetti: Hold two forks like chopsticks, gather a portion of noodles, and twist them clockwise to form a neat mound. Carefully place this mound in the center of your plate and gently lower it to create a stunning, restaurant-style presentation.
