  • Category : Noodles & Dumplings
  • Ingredient Category : Beef
  • Occasion : Everyday
  • Cooking : Stir-fry
  • Servings : 1 serving
  • Cooking Time : Within 15 minutes
  • Difficulty : Beginner

Noodles & Main Ingredients

  • 110g chewy ramen noodles (choose your preferred type)
  • 100g thinly sliced beef for bulgogi
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 chili pepper, seeded and chopped (optional, for a touch of heat)

Special Bulgogi Marinade

  • 5 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • A pinch of black pepper

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the vegetables that will enhance the ramen’s flavor. Chop the green onion into approximately 1cm pieces. If using, remove the seeds from the chili pepper and chop it similarly. You can adjust the amount of chili or use a spicier variety if you prefer more heat.

Step 2

Now, it’s time to marinate the bulgogi. In a large mixing bowl, place the thinly sliced beef. Add the prepared green onion and chili pepper, along with all the bulgogi marinade ingredients (cooking oil, soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, and pepper). Gently mix everything with your hands until the beef is evenly coated with the marinade. Let it marinate for about 5 minutes for the flavors to meld beautifully.

Step 3

Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat and add the marinated bulgogi. Stir-fry the beef, ensuring it doesn’t burn, until it’s nicely browned on the outside. The sizzling sound and aroma will already be tantalizing!

Step 4

When the beef is about 80% cooked, pour in 400cc of water to create the rich broth. Bring it to a boil over high heat.

Step 5

Once the water is rapidly boiling, add the ramen noodles. Now, let it simmer until the broth reduces and becomes slightly thick, coating the noodles. Stir occasionally to prevent the noodles from sticking. When the broth has thickened and clings to the noodles, your delicious bulgogi ramen is ready to be enjoyed!
