It’s funny how I can gather all my energy to make anything for my husband and kids when they ask for something, but find it hard to even wash and eat an apple for myself. Today, I’m making this apple and carrot juice solely for me! Whizzing it up in the blender, I feel a wave of healthiness wash over me. This delicious juice gives me the energy to head back to the kitchen and cook for my family again. Sometimes, you just need a little treat for yourself to recharge!
Main Ingredients- 1 apple
- 1 carrot
- Plenty of water
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, peel the carrot and cut it into chunky pieces. Place the carrot pieces in a small pot, add enough water to cover generously, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, immediately turn off the heat and let the carrots cool in the water. This step helps to soften the carrot and bring out its natural sweetness, making it easier to blend.
Step 2
Wash the apple thoroughly. Remove the core and stem, then slice it into manageable pieces, leaving the skin on for extra nutrients. Place the sliced apple, the blanched and cooled carrots, and the water used for blanching into a blender. If the liquid level seems low, you can add a little fresh water to help with blending.
Step 3
Secure the lid on the blender and blend until all ingredients are smooth and well combined. If the juice is too thick, add a bit more water until you reach your desired consistency. Pour the freshly made juice into a bottle and store it in the refrigerator. For the best results, enjoy a glass on an empty stomach each morning. You’ll feel a wonderful sense of well-being and rejuvenation!
