Smoked Duck Stir-fry Ingredients- 200g Smoked Duck Meat
- 40g Red Bell Pepper
- 35g Yellow Bell Pepper
- 60g Onion
- 25g Chives
- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- Approx. 3 pinches Salt
- Pinch of Black Pepper
- A little Sesame Seeds
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare 200g of smoked duck meat. You can use it as is, or cut it into bite-sized pieces for easier handling.
Step 2
Thinly julienne the red and yellow bell peppers and the onion (about 3mm thick). Cut the chives into roughly 4cm lengths. Prepare 1 tablespoon of minced garlic; if you have whole garlic cloves, thinly slicing them into slivers will add a lovely aroma.
Step 3
Heat a large stir-fry pan over medium heat. Add the smoked duck meat and minced garlic. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant and the duck meat softens.
Step 4
Since smoked duck releases a good amount of its own fat, you don’t need to add extra oil. Keep stirring to prevent the duck from sticking to the pan as it cooks.
Step 5
Once the duck is tender, add the julienned onion and bell peppers. Continue to stir-fry until the vegetables are crisp-tender, about 2-3 minutes. Keeping the vegetables slightly crisp enhances the texture.
Step 6
Now, let’s season. Sprinkle in approximately 3 pinches of salt and a dash of black pepper. Stir everything together to distribute the seasoning evenly.
Step 7
Finally, add the prepared chives. Stir gently for just about 20-30 seconds. Chives cook very quickly and can lose their vibrant color and become mushy if overcooked, so stir them in right at the end and turn off the heat immediately.
Step 8
Taste the stir-fry and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Add a tiny bit more salt if needed to suit your preference.
Step 9
Finish by sprinkling a little sesame seeds over the top and giving it one last gentle stir. Your delicious Smoked Duck and Vegetable Stir-fry is now complete and ready to be enjoyed!
