Elevate Your Inari Sushi Game: Introducing Delicious Salmon Inari Sushi
Tired of the same old inari sushi? Come discover the delightful world of Salmon Inari Sushi! 😉 This recipe offers a sophisticated twist on a beloved classic, perfect for adding a touch of luxury to any meal.
Essential Ingredients- 1 pack of store-bought Inari sushi kit
- 1.5 bowls of cooked rice (approx. 300g)
- 1 pack of fresh salmon fillet
Sauce Ingredients- 2 Tbsp finely minced onion
- 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 0.5 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp honey
- Pinch of salt (to taste)
- Pinch of black pepper (freshly ground is best)
- 2 Tbsp finely minced onion
- 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 0.5 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp honey
- Pinch of salt (to taste)
- Pinch of black pepper (freshly ground is best)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Dice the fresh salmon into small, bite-sized pieces (about 1cm cubes). Aim for a size that offers a pleasant chew without being too large.
Step 2
In a bowl, combine the minced onion, mayonnaise, lemon juice, honey, salt, and pepper. Stir gently until all ingredients are well incorporated to create the salmon mayo sauce. If you find raw onion too pungent, you can soak the minced onion in cold water for a few minutes and then drain it thoroughly before adding.
Step 3
Add the seasoning mix provided in the Inari sushi kit (or a mixture of vinegar, sugar, and salt) to the warm cooked rice. Gently fold the seasoning into the rice with a spatula, being careful not to mash the grains, until evenly combined and slightly sticky.
Step 4
Gently squeeze out excess liquid from the seasoned fried tofu pouches (aburaage) to shape them. Carefully fill each pouch with the seasoned rice. Top generously with the prepared salmon mayo sauce, and then artfully arrange the diced salmon on top. Your elegant Salmon Inari Sushi is now ready to be enjoyed! For an extra burst of flavor and texture, consider adding tobiko (flying fish roe) or finely chopped cucumber.
