Main Ingredients
- 200g fresh salmon fillet
- 1 onion
- 1/2 button mushroom
- 50g mixed baby greens
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 4 asparagus spears
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- Balsamic glaze, to taste
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the vegetables for cooking. Clean the button mushrooms by removing any dirt from the stems and slice them into bite-sized pieces. Gently rinse the mixed baby greens under running water and pat them dry.
Step 2
Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a wide frying pan over medium-low heat. Once the butter is melted, place the salmon fillet in the pan. Add the onion, button mushrooms, and asparagus alongside the salmon. Season the salmon and vegetables evenly with salt and pepper. Cook the salmon, flipping it to get a nice golden-brown sear on both sides. Sauté the vegetables with the salmon to enhance their flavor. (Tip: Adding sliced garlic can create a richer taste.)
Step 3
Arrange the washed and dried mixed baby greens attractively on a plate. Drizzle your desired amount of sweet and tangy balsamic glaze over the greens to create a fresh salad.
Step 4
When cooking the salmon steak, be careful not to overcook it on high heat, as the exterior can burn. It’s important to cook it over moderate heat until the inside is moist and tender. Even if the exterior is slightly crisp, as long as the inside is soft, it’s a successful steak.
Step 5
Place the perfectly cooked salmon steak on top of the prepared baby green salad. Serve with tartar sauce on the side, if desired, for a beautiful salmon steak presentation. The combination of the tender salmon, fresh vegetables, and sauce will bring a burst of happiness to your palate.
