  • 1 pack soft tofu (approx. 300-400g)
  • 5 sheets rice paper
  • 30-50g mozzarella cheese (adjust to your preference)

Sauce
  • 3 Tbsp ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp Sriracha sauce (adjust spiciness as desired)
  • 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • Pinch of black pepper

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the main ingredient: soft tofu. Open the pack of soft tofu and carefully cut it into bite-sized pieces (about 2-3 cm cubes). Place the cut tofu in a microwave-safe dish. Be gentle as soft tofu can break easily.

Step 2

Now, let’s prepare the rice paper. Cut each sheet of rice paper in half. Briefly dip each half in water until it becomes pliable, then fold it into a desired shape. Be careful not to soak it for too long, as it might tear.

Step 3

It’s time to assemble the dish. Arrange the folded rice paper pieces around and on top of the soft tofu in the dish. The rice paper will help keep the tofu moist as it steams.

Step 4

Let’s make the delicious sauce! In a small bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of Sriracha sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of minced garlic, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix everything well with a spoon until you have a smooth, uniform sauce. Evenly drizzle this sweet and spicy sauce over the tofu and rice paper.

Step 5

Now for the star of the gratin: cheese! Sprinkle 30-50g of mozzarella cheese generously over the sauced tofu, according to your liking. The melting cheese will add a wonderful savory flavor. Once assembled, place the dish in the microwave and heat for about 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
