Key Ingredients

  • Store-bought Inari sushi kit (includes seasoned tofu pouches, sushi vinegar seasoning, and stir-fried topping) – as needed
  • Warm cooked rice – as needed (approx. 2 servings)
  • Sliced ham – 120g (about 4-5 slices)
  • Furikake (Japanese rice seasoning) – as needed (optional)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the seasoned tofu pouches from your Inari sushi kit. Gently open each pouch and lightly squeeze out excess liquid. This makes it much easier to fill with rice. Be careful not to squeeze too hard, as the pouches might tear.

Step 1

Step 2

Finely dice the sliced ham into small, bite-sized pieces. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a little canola oil. Add the diced ham and stir-fry until lightly golden brown. The ham will release its own oil, so you don’t need to add too much. Keep stirring to prevent the ham from burning.

Step 2

Step 3

Place the warm cooked rice in a mixing bowl. Add the stir-fried ham, the sushi vinegar seasoning from the kit, and the stir-fried topping. If you have furikake, now is the perfect time to add it for extra flavor. Adjust the amount of furikake based on your preference.

Step 3

Step 4

Using a spatula or spoon, gently mix all the ingredients into the rice until well combined. Mix carefully to avoid mashing the rice grains. Ensure the ham and seasonings are evenly distributed throughout the rice.

Step 4

Step 5

Now, fill each prepared tofu pouch with the seasoned rice mixture. Don’t overfill, as the pouches might burst. Fill them snugly to create delightful Ham Inari Sushi! Your delicious and easy meal is now complete.
