  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 pack bacon (thick-cut recommended)
  • 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp honey mustard

First, prepare the avocados. Place an avocado upright on a cutting board. Carefully run your knife down the length of the avocado, avoiding the pit, and make a shallow cut around its circumference. Continue cutting around the entire avocado.

Grasp each half of the avocado with your hands and twist in opposite directions. It should easily separate into two halves. If the avocado is perfectly ripe, this will be effortless; if it’s a bit firm, you might need a little more force.

Now, let’s remove the pit. Gently tap the tip of your knife into the avocado pit. Once embedded, carefully twist the knife slightly, and the pit should pop out easily. Be cautious to avoid injury.

Peel the avocado halves. You can do this much like peeling a fruit; use a paring knife or a vegetable peeler to carefully remove the skin. If the skin is tightly attached, you can make thin vertical scores in the skin first, then peel it away.

Cut the peeled avocado into bite-sized pieces. Slice them lengthwise into strips that are about 1 to 1.5 cm thick, ensuring they are suitable for wrapping with bacon. Arrange the cut avocado pieces on a plate.
