Main Ingredients

  • 1/4 head Broccoli
  • 1/4 Carrot
  • 2 Tbsp Rolled Oats
  • 1/4 block Firm Tofu
  • 1/4 small Pumpkin (Kabocha Squash)
  • 1/2 Banana

Garnish (Optional)

  • Dog-safe biscuits
  • Dog-safe jerky treats

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Begin by washing the broccoli thoroughly. Blanch it in boiling water for about 1-2 minutes until slightly tender. This preserves nutrients while making it easier for your dog to eat. After blanching, rinse with cold water to cool, then finely mince it into small, bite-sized pieces suitable for your dog.

Step 2

Peel and wash the carrot, then julienne it into thin strips. Place the julienned carrot in a dry, non-stick frying pan with no oil. Stir-fry over medium-low heat until slightly softened, being careful not to burn it. This process enhances the carrot’s natural sweetness and texture.

Step 3

Similarly, place the rolled oats in a dry, non-stick frying pan without any oil. Toast over low heat, stirring gently, until they release a pleasant, nutty aroma. Toasted oats add a delightful crunch and rich flavor to the parfait.

Step 4

It’s important to remove excess salt from the tofu for your dog’s health. Briefly blanch the tofu in boiling water for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Once blanched, gently press out any excess water and then mash it thoroughly using a fork or a potato masher until smooth.

Step 5

Peel the banana and wash it. Slice it into thin rounds, ensuring the pieces are small enough for your dog to easily chew and enjoy.

Step 6

Prepare the pumpkin by removing the seeds and skin, then washing it. Steam it or boil it in a pot with a little water until very tender. Once cooked, mash the warm pumpkin with a fork until smooth, then cut it into small cubes.

Step 7

Now, it’s time to assemble your puppy parfait! Choose a clear cup or small bowl that’s easy for your dog to eat from. Start by layering the toasted oats at the bottom. Follow with a layer of mashed tofu, then the minced broccoli, followed by the banana slices, stir-fried carrots, and finally, the cubed pumpkin. Arrange these layers attractively. For the final flourish, insert a dog biscuit and a piece of jerky as a garnish. Congratulations, your adorable Puppy Parfait is ready! Serve this homemade treat with love and watch your dog’s tail wag with joy.
