Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a clean bowl, combine the 220g of macaron mix with 3 tablespoons (approx. 45ml) of warm water (around 55℃). Using a hand mixer on high speed, whip the mixture for about 4 minutes until it becomes smooth and consistent. Proper whipping is key for the perfect macaron texture.
Step 2
Transfer the prepared macaron batter into a piping bag. Place the provided macaron template sheet underneath a Silpat or parchment paper. Pipe the batter following the shapes on the template. For the donut shape, carefully pipe along the outer edges of the template to achieve the desired design.
Step 3
Allow the piped macaron shells to dry at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes, or until the surface is no longer sticky to the touch. This drying step helps prevent cracking during baking and creates a smooth shell.
Step 4
Once the surfaces are dry, bake in a preheated oven at 130℃ (266℉) for approximately 20 minutes. Oven temperatures and times may vary, so adjust as needed to prevent burning while ensuring they are baked through. Look for them to be lightly golden.
Step 5
After baking, carefully remove the macaron shells from the Silpat and let them cool completely on a wire rack. Ensure they are fully cooled before proceeding to avoid breakage.
Step 6
For the filling, place the 50g of white cream in a bowl and gently melt it using a double boiler (bain-marie). Once melted, transfer it into a piping bag.
Step 7
Pair up the cooled macaron shells. Pipe a generous amount of the white cream filling onto the flat side of one shell and sandwich it with another. You can add chocolate jam for extra flavor if desired. Finally, get creative with the chocolate pen to draw designs or sprinkle on colorful decorations to complete your unique donut macarons. Enjoy your personalized sweet treats!
