Main Ingredients
- 200g ground beef
- 20 fresh lettuce leaves
- 1 bowl of cooked rice
- A little ssamjang (Korean dipping paste)
Seasoning Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp corn syrup
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- A pinch of black pepper
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp cooking wine (mirin)
- 1 Tbsp plum extract
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp corn syrup
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- A pinch of black pepper
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp cooking wine (mirin)
- 1 Tbsp plum extract
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, place the ground beef in a bowl. Add 2 Tbsp soy sauce, 2 Tbsp corn syrup, 1 Tbsp minced garlic, a pinch of black pepper, 1 Tbsp sesame oil, 1 Tbsp cooking wine, and 1 Tbsp plum extract. Mix well with your hands until the seasoning is evenly distributed throughout the meat.
Step 2
Heat a pan over medium heat and add the seasoned ground beef. Stir-fry until all the moisture has evaporated and the meat has a glossy appearance. This is important for texture and flavor. Cook over medium-low heat to prevent burning.
Step 3
Wash the fresh lettuce leaves thoroughly and pat them dry. Lay each leaf flat. Place about one spoonful of warm rice onto each lettuce leaf. Be mindful not to add too much rice, as it will make wrapping difficult.
Step 4
Now, neatly fold the lettuce around the rice, like wrapping a gift. Aim for bite-sized portions for easy eating. Arrange the wrapped lettuce on a plate and prepare your ssamjang for dipping.
Step 5
Finally, top your neatly wrapped lettuce with the delicious stir-fried beef, according to your preference. This completes your convenient and delightful lunchbox wraps. Enjoy them with ssamjang!
