  • 1/2 Green onion
  • 1/4 Onion

Seasoning

  • 2 Tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Corn syrup or Oligosaccharide
  • 1 Tbsp Toasted sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions

First, wash the king oyster mushrooms thoroughly. Then, slice them thinly into approximately 0.5 cm thick pieces. Avoid slicing them too thin, as this will help maintain a pleasant chewy texture after cooking.

Peel and wash the green onion. Cut it in half lengthwise, then slice it diagonally into 3-4 cm lengths. Peel the onion and slice it into strips about 0.5 cm thick.

Heat 1-2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the sliced green onions and stir-fry until fragrant. Once the aroma of the green onions is released, add the sliced onion and continue to stir-fry until the onion becomes translucent.

Once the onions are slightly softened, add the thinly sliced king oyster mushrooms to the pan. Give everything a good stir to combine.

After adding the mushrooms, pour the 2 tablespoons of soy sauce around the edges of the pan. This technique helps the soy sauce caramelize slightly, enhancing the flavor. Stir-fry over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and have absorbed the soy sauce.

When the mushrooms are cooked through and well-coated with the soy sauce, add 1 tablespoon of corn syrup or oligosaccharide for a glossy finish.
