  • Cooking : Boil / Simmer
  • Servings : 1 serving
  • Cooking Time : Within 10 minutes
  • Difficulty : Beginner

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pack Carbo Carbonara Buldak Bokkeum Myeon (spicy chicken ramen)
  • 7-8 pieces Frankfurter sausages
  • 1-2 sheets fish cakes (eomuk)
  • 1 handful tteokguk tteok or garaetteok (rice cakes)
  • 1/4 onion

Rose Sauce Seasoning

  • 1 packet Carbo Carbonara Buldak Bokkeum Myeon soup base
  • 1 tsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the additional ingredients that will enhance the dish’s flavor. Score the frankfurter sausages for easier eating. Slice the fish cakes into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

Step 1

Step 2

Boil the ramen noodles and rice cakes together. To prevent the noodles from becoming too soft, boil for only about 1 minute. Drain them along with the rice cakes when the noodles are halfway cooked. This method ensures the best texture for both the noodles and the rice cakes.

Step 2

Step 3

Now, let’s make the rose sauce. Pour 2 cups (about 300-400ml) of milk into a pan. Add the Carbo Carbonara Buldak Bokkeum Myeon soup base, gochujang, ketchup, and sugar all at once. Stir gently over medium-low heat until the gochujang is well dissolved and the sauce is smooth. (Be careful not to burn the sauce by adjusting the heat.)

Step 3

Step 4

Add the prepared onion to the pan and stir-fry it briefly with the sauce to add aroma. Cooking the onion until translucent will deepen the sauce’s flavor profile.

Step 4

Step 5

Add the sliced fish cakes and scored frankfurter sausages to the pan. Stir well to ensure the sauce coats all the ingredients evenly. Let it simmer for a short while to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 5

Step 6

Add the drained noodles and rice cakes back into the pan and switch to medium heat. Cook until the sauce thickens and coats the noodles and rice cakes beautifully. It’s important to stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Once the sauce reaches your desired consistency, turn off the heat!

Step 6

Step 7

Beautifully plate the finished Rose Rabokki. Have a wonderful mealtime with your family, friends, or loved ones. This Rose Rabokki is pure love! ♡♡
