  • 600ml water
  • 5 wooden skewers

In a pot, combine 600ml of water with the Korean radish cut into large chunks, onion, the white parts of the green onions, dried kelp (or seaweed), and minced garlic. Bring it to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium-low heat and simmer for about 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld beautifully. Once the broth is rich, remove the radish and onion. Cut the green onion and kelp (or seaweed) into bite-sized pieces. (You can discard them, but if your family enjoys eating the vegetables, feel free to leave them in.) Finally, add the soy sauce, minced garlic, and whole black pepper to season the broth, creating the golden ratio for your fish cake soup.
