Main Ingredients

  • 1 Paprika (seeded and cut into desired size)
  • 1 Potato (peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1/2 Onion (peeled and sliced or minced)
  • 100g Natur Dream Powdered Curry (refer to the water amount indicated on the product, but have extra water ready for adjusting consistency)
  • 250ml Water (for mixing with curry powder, add more if needed)
  • 2 slices Processed Cheese slices (added at the end for flavor)
  • 100g Meat (pork, chicken) or Spam (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • A little Milk (can be used instead of cheese or added together for creaminess)

Seasoning & Others

  • 15 Tbsp Cooking Oil (used for sautéing ingredients)
  • 0.5 Tbsp Salt (adjust to taste)
  • 0.5 Tbsp Black Pepper (sprinkled at the end for aroma)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare all the vegetables and meat for the curry. Seed the paprika and cut it into desired pieces. Peel and cut the potato into bite-sized cubes. Slice or mince the onion. Cut the meat or Spam into appropriate sizes. Heat 15 Tbsp of cooking oil in a large pot or pan. Add the meat (or Spam) and potatoes first, and sauté over medium heat. Sautéing the potatoes until they are slightly browned on the outside will help them cook more tenderly later. (This recipe yields approximately 4-5 servings).

Step 2

Once the meat and potatoes are somewhat cooked, add the onions and paprika and sauté them together. Cook until the moisture from the vegetables and the flavor of the meat meld together. Add 0.5 Tbsp of salt at this point for a light seasoning. After all ingredients are sautéed, pour in about 250ml of water, cover with a lid, and simmer over medium-low heat until the potatoes and meat are completely cooked. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking to the bottom, and add a little more water if it becomes too dry.

Step 3

When all the ingredients are tender and the liquid is reduced to a simmer, it’s time to add the curry powder. Add 100g of Natur Dream powdered curry and stir well to dissolve any lumps. The thickness of the curry can be adjusted according to the product’s recommended amount and your personal preference. If the curry is too thick, gradually add more water or milk while stirring until it reaches your desired consistency. It’s important to simmer over low heat and stir continuously to prevent the curry from sticking to the bottom.

Step 4

Once the curry has reached your desired thickness and is simmering nicely, it’s time to add the finishing touches for extra flavor. You can either place 2 slices of processed cheese on top of the curry or add a little milk for a smoother taste. If adding cheese, it will melt naturally with the heat of the curry, adding a deep flavor.

Step 5

When the curry is almost done, sprinkle 0.5 Tbsp of black pepper for a fragrant aroma. Serve the warm curry, with all the flavors well-melded, generously over rice and enjoy! Leftover curry can be refrigerated and reheated.
