Homemade Bulgogi Bake: Get that Supermarket Visual Right in Your Kitchen!
Hello everyone! This is Minggle, your nutritionist. 🙂 I’ve adapted the pizza recipe from @6952822 to create this delicious bake! Let’s get started!
Dough (Refer to @6952822 for detailed recipe)
Main Ingredients- Mozzarella cheese (to your preference, generous amount)
- Korean marinated beef (Bulgogi, to your preference, generous amount)
- Milk (for brushing the top of the dough, a little)
- Mozzarella cheese (to your preference, generous amount)
- Korean marinated beef (Bulgogi, to your preference, generous amount)
- Milk (for brushing the top of the dough, a little)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the dough that will encase the bake. You can follow the recipe from @6952822 exactly for making the dough. This will create a chewy and delicious base.
Step 2
Prepare the main fillings: mozzarella cheese and bulgogi. The bulgogi should be pre-cooked and seasoned. If you add plenty of onions to the bulgogi, it will taste even better! (Refer to @6952868 for bulgogi recipe)
Step 3
Lightly dust your work surface with flour using a baking mat or parchment paper to prevent the dough from sticking. At the same time, preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). Let it preheat for about 20 minutes.
Step 4
Roll out the prepared dough with a rolling pin to your desired size, making it wide and relatively thin. It’s important to roll it to an appropriate thickness, as overly thick dough will take longer to bake.
Step 5
On one half of the rolled-out dough, generously spread a layer of mozzarella cheese. Make sure to save about half of the cheese to cover the filling later! This cheese will help bind the ingredients together as it melts.
Step 6
Evenly spread all the prepared bulgogi over the cheese layer. The savory and sweet bulgogi sauce is ready to combine with the cheese for a fantastic flavor combination.
Step 7
Now, cover the bulgogi with the remaining mozzarella cheese. This step ensures that the filling won’t leak out and adds to the richness and cheesy flavor.
Step 8
Carefully fold the other half of the dough over the filling, enclosing all the ingredients. The key is to seal it neatly so that nothing spills out during baking.
Step 9
Pinch the edges of the dough together firmly to seal. Place the bake on the baking mat with the pinched side down. This helps maintain its shape and prevents it from opening while baking.
Step 10
Gently brush the top of the dough with milk. Brushing with milk will give the bake a beautiful glossy sheen and a lovely golden-brown color when baked.
Step 11
Finally, sprinkle a little more mozzarella cheese on top to achieve that appetizing, golden-brown appearance you often see in supermarket bakes. The cheese will melt slightly, enhancing both the look and the taste.
Step 12
Bake in the preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) for 10 minutes, then increase the temperature to 200°C (390°F) and bake for another 10 minutes. After approximately 20 minutes of baking, your delicious Bulgogi Bake will be ready – crispy on the outside and wonderfully moist inside. Enjoy!
