Main Ingredients- 200g Cooked Rice (approx. 1 bowl)
- 50g Canned Corn (drained)
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
- 1 Paper Cup Seasoned Seaweed Flakes (or Gim-Jaban)
- 2.5 Tbsp Mayonnaise
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare all the ingredients for making the Corn Mayo Rice Balls. Take about 1 bowl (approx. 200g) of warm cooked rice and place it in a large bowl. Using warm rice makes it easier to mix the ingredients and shape the balls.
Step 2
Add 50g of canned corn, with its water thoroughly drained, to the prepared rice. The sweetness of the corn will enhance the flavor of the rice balls.
Step 3
Add 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds for added nuttiness. They provide a delightful texture and a rich flavor.
Step 4
Drizzle in 1 tablespoon of sesame oil to further elevate the aroma and taste. The subtle sesame oil scent will stimulate your appetite.
Step 5
Add the star of creaminess and savory flavor, 2.5 tablespoons of mayonnaise. Be mindful not to add too much, as it can make the rice balls too rich; measure it out.
Step 6
Add 1 paper cup of seasoned seaweed flakes (or Gim-Jaban) for a salty and umami kick. You can adjust the amount of seaweed flakes according to your preference.
Step 7
Now, put on disposable gloves and gently mix all the ingredients in the bowl. Mix them without crushing or mashing the rice grains. Once everything is well combined, but still with the rice grains intact, shape them into small, round balls. Your delicious Corn Mayo Rice Balls are ready to be enjoyed!
