Main Ingredients- 1 Tbsp sliced garlic
- 2/3 cup cooked beef tripe
- 1 bowl warm cooked rice
- 1/4 onion (finely chopped)
- 2 stalks chives (chopped)
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- Pinch of toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Seasoning Ingredients- 1 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp cooking wine (mirin)
- 1/4 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp cooking wine (mirin)
- 1/4 Tbsp sugar
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Heat a wide pan over medium heat. Add 1-2 tablespoons of cooking oil and sauté the sliced garlic until golden brown and fragrant, being careful not to burn it. Once the garlic releases its aroma, proceed to the next step.
Step 2
When the garlic is aromatic, add the cooked beef tripe, chopped onion, and chopped chives to the pan. Then, add all the seasoning ingredients (gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, cooking wine, sugar). Stir-fry over high heat until everything is well combined. Continue to stir-fry until the onions become translucent.
Step 3
Once the onions are translucent, add 1 bowl of warm cooked rice. Using a spatula, gently break up the rice and mix it with the beef tripe, vegetables, and seasonings until everything is evenly coated. It’s important to stir-fry the rice so that each grain is coated with the sauce.
Step 4
When the rice grains are fluffy and well-mixed with all the ingredients, turn off the heat. Finally, drizzle 1 tablespoon of sesame oil for extra flavor and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds for a beautiful garnish and nutty taste. Your delicious beef tripe fried rice is ready! It tastes best when served immediately while hot.
