Main Ingredients
  • 1 packet of pre-made Seolleongtang broth (approx. 500g)
  • 10 meat dumplings (Mandu)
  • 5 kimchi dumplings (Mandu)
  • 2 sheets of fish cake (Eomuk)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 stalk of green onion

Seasoning
  • Pinch of black pepper

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Pour the pre-made Seolleongtang broth into a pot and get ready to heat it. (Note: The saltiness of pre-made broths can vary, so adjust seasoning later if needed.)

Step 2

Prepare the dumplings directly from frozen. Slice the fish cake into bite-sized pieces, about 2cm wide. Finely chop the green onion. In a small bowl, lightly beat the egg.

Step 3

Once the Seolleongtang broth comes to a rolling boil, add the prepared meat dumplings, kimchi dumplings, and sliced fish cake to the pot.

Step 4

Let the soup return to a boil and simmer over medium heat until the dumplings and fish cake are cooked through. The dumplings will float to the surface when they are ready.

Step 5

When the dumplings are fully cooked, slowly drizzle the beaten egg into the simmering soup in a circular motion. Gently stir with chopsticks to break up the egg into ribbons. Finally, add the chopped green onions, sprinkle with black pepper to your liking, and let it simmer for another minute to complete this delicious Mandu-guk!
