Ingredients
- 1 fresh egg
- 1 bowl of warm cooked rice
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp salt (optional, adjust to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Place 1 bowl of warm cooked rice into a serving bowl. Freshly cooked rice will yield the best results. Gently crack 1 fresh egg over the rice. Try not to break the yolk as you place it on the rice.
Step 2
Using chopsticks or a spoon, gently mix the rice and the raw egg together. Ensure the egg coats each grain of rice evenly. Be careful not to mash the rice grains; mix softly.
Step 3
Once the rice and egg are well combined, add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Mix again gently to distribute the soy sauce and sesame oil throughout the rice. You can adjust the amount of soy sauce according to your preference.
Step 4
Transfer the mixed bibimbap to a microwave-safe bowl. Cover with plastic wrap or a microwave-safe lid. Microwave for about 1 minute. This will warm the rice and slightly cook the egg, resulting in a softer texture. (Adjust cooking time based on your microwave’s wattage.)
