Crispy & Tender Air Fryer Roasted Broccoli

Super Easy 3-Ingredient Air Fryer Roasted Broccoli Recipe

Crispy & Tender Air Fryer Roasted Broccoli

Since getting an air fryer, my cooking routine has seen a small but significant change. Instead of sticking to my usual methods, I’ve started pondering how to incorporate this appliance into my meals. I’ve noticed so many bloggers creatively experimenting with various recipes and innovative techniques! I often buy broccoli and simply steam it, serving it with spicy dipping sauce or soy sauce as a simple side dish. This time, however, I decided to try roasting broccoli in the air fryer and seasoning it with herb salt. It’s incredibly simple, yet the texture and flavor are so different from steamed broccoli. Join me in making roasted broccoli, the third installment in my air fryer recipe series!

Step 1

Step 2

First, cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Then, rinse them under cool running water, leaving them slightly moist. This step is important to ensure the broccoli doesn’t become too dry and tough when roasted, resulting in a delicious, tender outcome.

Step 2

Step 3

Line your air fryer basket or tray with parchment paper. If you have an oil spray, lightly mist the parchment paper. If not, spread about 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil evenly over the paper. Add the prepared broccoli florets, then drizzle the remaining 1.5 tablespoons of olive oil over them. Gently toss the broccoli to ensure each floret is evenly coated with oil.

Step 3

Step 4

Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C). Once preheated, place the oiled broccoli in the air fryer and cook for 8 minutes. You can check and adjust the cooking time if needed, depending on your air fryer and desired level of crispness.

Step 4

Step 5

After 8 minutes, carefully remove the well-roasted broccoli. Drizzle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sprinkle generously with 1 tablespoon of herb salt. Gently toss the broccoli again to distribute the oil and salt evenly, making sure not to break the florets. Your healthy and delicious roasted broccoli is now ready!

Step 5

Step 6

The broccoli, having been exposed to the hot circulating air of the air fryer, develops a slightly chewy texture on the outside while remaining tender on the inside. The subtle aroma of olive oil combined with the ‘grilled’ flavor from the roasting creates a delightful taste experience, quite different from simply steaming it.

Step 6

Step 7

I highly recommend this roasted broccoli recipe to anyone looking for simple yet impressive air fryer dishes. Enjoy this wonderful vegetable side!
