Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Crack one egg into a bowl and whisk it well with a fork or chopsticks until you have a smooth egg mixture. No salt is needed at this stage.
Step 2
Finely dice the red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, and chives that will go into the fried rice. Washing them thoroughly beforehand is important. Uniformly diced vegetables will mix better and enhance the flavor of your fried rice.
Step 3
Add 1-2 tablespoons of cooking oil to a frying pan and heat it over high heat. Ensuring the pan is well-heated prevents sticking and helps achieve fluffy fried rice.
Step 4
Once the pan is hot, add only the diced bell peppers first. Stir-fry them quickly over high heat for about 30 seconds to maintain their crispness.
Step 5
After lightly stir-frying the bell peppers, add a pinch of black pepper to enhance the aroma.
Step 6
Now, add the prepared 99g of cooked rice. Using day-old or chilled rice works best for fluffy fried rice, as it prevents clumping.
Step 7
Using a spatula or spoon, stir-fry the rice evenly, scraping the bottom of the pan to break up any clumps. Ensure each grain of rice is heated through for the best texture.
Step 8
Finally, add the chopped chives and stir-fry for another 30 seconds. Your delicious fried rice is now complete! The aromatic chives will add a wonderful fragrance.
Step 9
Transfer the finished fried rice into a bowl. Use the back of a spoon to firmly press the rice down, shaping it. Filling the bowl tightly will help achieve a neat presentation later.
Step 10
Carefully invert the bowl filled with shaped rice onto a serving plate. Gently shake the bowl to release the fried rice, creating a nice mound.
Step 11
Now it’s time to make the omelet. In a clean frying pan, add about 1 tablespoon of cooking oil and preheat over medium-high heat.
Step 12
Pour the whisked egg mixture into the preheated pan, then immediately reduce the heat to low. Cooking on low heat ensures the egg cooks gently without burning.
Step 13
As the egg begins to set, use chopsticks to gently swirl it from the center outwards. This process helps create soft, curdy eggs.
Step 14
When the egg is about 70% cooked and has a soft, curdy texture, use chopsticks to gather the edges and form an omelet shape. Then, tilt the pan and carefully slide the omelet onto the rice. A slightly undercooked center will result in a creamy texture.
Step 15
Carefully place the gently cooked omelet on top of the shaped fried rice to complete your Pork Cutlet Omelet Rice.
Step 16
Time to fry the crispy pork cutlet! Pour enough cooking oil into a deep frying pan to submerge the cutlet. Heat the oil over high heat until it reaches about 170°C (340°F). You can test the temperature by inserting a wooden skewer; if lively bubbles form around it, the oil is ready.
Step 17
Carefully place the pork cutlet into the hot oil.
Step 18
Fry the pork cutlet for about 5-7 minutes, alternating between medium and high heat to prevent burning and ensure even cooking. Flip it halfway through.
Step 19
Remove the golden-brown pork cutlet from the oil and place it on paper towels to drain excess oil. Once drained, cut it into bite-sized pieces.
Step 20
Arrange the cut pork cutlet attractively on top of the prepared omelet rice.
Step 21
Let’s make a delicious sauce to finish! In a small saucepan, combine 2 tablespoons of pork cutlet sauce with 2 tablespoons of water. Simmer over low heat. Adjust the amount of water if the sauce becomes too thick.
Step 22
Once the sauce is simmering, immediately turn off the heat and pour it generously over the pork cutlet. Your delicious Pork Cutlet Omelet Rice is complete! Enjoy it while it’s warm.
