Garlic Bread Ingredients

  • 2 slices of sliced bread (approx. 90g)
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 0.4 Tbsp parsley flakes (approx. 1/2 Tbsp)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare your 2 slices of bread. You can use them as they are, or cut them into bite-sized pieces or your desired shapes (triangles, squares, etc.) for easier eating and a prettier presentation. If making for kids, cutting them into small squares makes them perfect finger food.

Step 1

Step 2

Now, let’s make the delicious garlic sauce! In a small bowl, add 1 Tbsp of minced garlic first. Then, add 1 Tbsp of sugar for sweetness, 3 Tbsp of mayonnaise for a rich, creamy texture, and 0.4 Tbsp (about half a tablespoon) of parsley flakes for that aromatic touch.

Step 2

Step 3

Using a spoon or a small whisk, mix the sauce well. It’s important to stir thoroughly until the sugar is completely dissolved and all ingredients are smoothly combined, creating a delicious garlic sauce with the right consistency. This ensures an even coating on the bread.

Step 3

Step 4

With a butter knife or a pastry brush, spread the prepared garlic sauce evenly over the top and sides of your cut bread slices. Don’t be shy with the sauce; apply it generously enough so the bread becomes moist. This ensures the flavors are vibrant when baked! A good coating makes all the difference.

Step 4

Step 5

Now, carefully arrange the bread slices, coated with the garlic sauce, in a single layer inside your air fryer basket. Make sure they are not overlapping, as this can prevent them from cooking evenly. Spacing them out is key.

Step 5

Step 6

Let’s start the first baking stage for your air fryer garlic bread. Set the temperature to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).

Step 6

Step 7

Set the timer for the first bake to 6 minutes. Since air fryer models can vary in performance, it’s crucial to open the basket after 6 minutes and check how toasted the bread is. Adjust the cooking time as needed, watching carefully to prevent burning.

Step 7

Step 8

In my air fryer, after about 6 minutes, the top of the bread turned a beautiful golden brown and looked perfectly toasted. You should start smelling that wonderful aroma!

Step 8

Step 9

It’s time to flip the bread slices to make the bottom side nice and crispy too. Turn them over so the side you just baked faces upwards.

Step 9

Step 10

For the second bake, keep the temperature at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) and set the timer for a shorter duration of 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 10

Step 11

After about 2 minutes of the second bake, I opened the basket and noticed the color was still a bit light. So, I added an extra minute of baking, which resulted in a wonderfully crispy exterior with a perfect golden hue. Check yours too and find your ideal crispiness!

Step 11

Step 12

Flip the bread one last time. If both sides have a delicious golden-brown color and feel satisfyingly crispy to the touch, then congratulations, you’ve successfully made your sliced bread garlic bread! Enjoy them warm for the best taste.
