Sweet & Savory Glazed Chicken Nuggets!
An easy and simple recipe to make delicious chicken nugget snacks. Perfect for any occasion!
Main Ingredients- 10 pre-cooked chicken nuggets
Sauce Ingredients- 1/2 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar (or corn syrup for a smoother glaze)
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp water
- 1/2 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar (or corn syrup for a smoother glaze)
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp water
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, arrange the 10 chicken nuggets in a single layer in your air fryer basket. This ensures they cook evenly and get extra crispy. Set your air fryer to the recommended temperature and cook until golden brown and heated through (typically around 180°C / 350°F for 8-10 minutes, but adjust based on your air fryer model and nugget instructions).
Step 2
While the nuggets are cooking, let’s prepare the delicious sauce! In a small saucepan or skillet, combine the gochujang, ketchup, brown sugar, minced garlic, and water. (Tip: For a smoother sauce, you can use a cornstarch slurry instead of plain water, or substitute the brown sugar with corn syrup for a glossier finish.)
Step 3
Place the saucepan over low heat. Stir continuously to prevent the sauce from burning. Cook for about 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly and all the ingredients are well combined. Once it reaches a gentle simmer and has a glossy consistency, remove it from the heat.
Step 4
Once the nuggets are perfectly cooked and crispy, transfer them to a mixing bowl. Pour the warm, prepared sauce over the nuggets. Gently toss the nuggets using a spoon or spatula until they are evenly coated with the delicious glaze. Serve immediately and enjoy your irresistible homemade glazed chicken nuggets!
