This is the recipe featured on the TV show ‘Three Meals a Day’! A super simple way to use up leftover rice into a delicious meal. Experience the wonderfully crisp texture of fresh radish in this fantastic recipe! It’s refreshingly delicious.
Main Ingredients
- 2 bowls of warm rice
- 1 handful of fresh radish (about 50g)
- Lettuce (optional, can add more)
- 2 fried eggs
- 2 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp honey
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, thoroughly wash the fresh radish under running water. It’s important to rinse it carefully to remove any dirt or debris. Gently pat it dry or let it drain slightly.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, add the 2 bowls of warm rice. Finely chop the washed fresh radish and add it to the rice. If you like, you can also tear in some lettuce for extra freshness. Now, add 2 tablespoons of gochujang for a spicy kick.
Step 3
Drizzle 2 tablespoons of sesame oil over the ingredients for a rich, nutty aroma. Top it off with 2 perfectly fried eggs to make the bibimbap even more appealing.
Step 4
Now, mix everything together deliciously until well combined! Use a spoon to gently blend the ingredients, being careful not to mash the rice. Ensure all the components are evenly distributed.
Step 5
Voilà! Your fresh radish bibimbap is ready in a flash! The radish was surprisingly delicious, with no bitterness at all, just a wonderfully crisp texture. It tastes distinctly different and incredibly refreshing compared to bibimbap made with fermented radish (kimchi). Enjoy this delightful meal!
