Main Ingredients- 10 frozen chicken wings
Special Marinade Sauce- 1 Tbsp Soju (for removing gamey smell)
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar (for sweetness and glaze)
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil (for tender texture)
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1 pinch Dried Rosemary (for aromatic flavor)
- 1 Tbsp Soju (for removing gamey smell)
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar (for sweetness and glaze)
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil (for tender texture)
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1 pinch Dried Rosemary (for aromatic flavor)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, completely thaw the frozen chicken wings by soaking them in cold water. Once thawed, rinse them thoroughly under running water and pat them dry. Ensuring the wings are dry is key to achieving a crispy texture when frying or baking.
Step 2
Place the rinsed chicken wings in a bowl. Add 1 Tbsp of soju, 1/2 tsp of black pepper powder, and a pinch of dried rosemary to help remove any gamey odors. Mix well by hand, ensuring the rosemary aroma penetrates the chicken.
Step 3
To the partially marinated wings, add the remaining sauce ingredients: 2 Tbsp soy sauce, 2 Tbsp brown sugar, and 1 Tbsp olive oil. Mix everything thoroughly until the wings are evenly coated. Cover and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. For an even deeper flavor, marinating for 2-3 hours is recommended.
Step 4
Arrange the marinated chicken wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap. Air fry at 180°C (356°F) for 20 minutes on the first side, then flip and cook for another 20 minutes. Flipping halfway through ensures even cooking and extra crispiness. (Total cooking time: 40 minutes). Please adjust the time and temperature based on the size of the wings and your air fryer’s performance.
