First, prepare two handfuls of dried shredded squid. You can use a little more if you like. Spread the squid on a sheet of parchment paper. Drizzle the 3 tablespoons of melted butter evenly over the squid. Melting the butter beforehand helps it absorb better into the squid.

If you like, add a pinch of black pepper. The slight peppery kick pairs wonderfully with the rich butter flavor.
