Main Ingredients- 300g small dried anchovies (Janmyeolchi)
- 150g dried shrimp
- 50g pumpkin seeds
- 20g sunflower seeds
Seasoning- 0.5 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp butter oil (or regular cooking oil)
- 1.5 Tbsp corn syrup (Oligodang)
- 2 Tbsp sesame seeds
- 0.5 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp butter oil (or regular cooking oil)
- 1.5 Tbsp corn syrup (Oligodang)
- 2 Tbsp sesame seeds
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the small dried anchovies and dried shrimp that will make this dish delicious. For the anchovies, lightly shake them in a sieve to remove any crumbs or dust. For the dried shrimp, remove any hard heads or tails if present. This preparation makes them more pleasant to eat.
Step 2
Place the prepared anchovies and dried shrimp in a heated pan and stir-fry over low heat. Be careful not to burn the anchovies, and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes to remove moisture; this makes them extra crispy. At this point, add the pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds as well. They will toast nicely, becoming savory and blending well with the anchovies and shrimp.
Step 3
Now it’s time for seasoning. Add 1 tablespoon of butter oil to the pan and stir-fry over medium-low heat. If you don’t have butter oil, regular cooking oil works fine. Lower the heat slightly, then add 0.5 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1.5 tablespoons of corn syrup. Gently stir-fry the ingredients to coat them evenly with the sauce. It’s important to stir-fry quickly as overcooking can cause them to burn. Finally, turn off the heat and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds for an extra nutty flavor. This completes the delicious stir-fried anchovy and dried shrimp dish. Let it cool slightly, then store in an airtight container to enjoy this tasty side dish for a long time.
