Crispy and Fluffy Salt Bread (Sogeumppang)
Homemade Salt Bread Recipe: Easy and Delicious
Salt bread is everywhere these days, so I decided to try making it at home! ♡ This recipe will guide you through creating wonderfully crispy and buttery soft salt bread right in your own kitchen. You won’t be able to stop at just one!
Main Ingredients- 5 frozen mini croissant doughs
Seasoning- A pinch of fine salt (or coarse salt, to taste)
- A pinch of fine salt (or coarse salt, to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, take the frozen mini croissant doughs out of the freezer. Place them in a container with enough space between each piece so they don’t touch. Close the lid and let them proof at room temperature for about 15 to 24 hours. The exact time may vary depending on the dough size and room temperature.
Step 2
After 24 hours of proofing, check if the doughs have visibly puffed up and increased in volume. This allows the inside of the bread to become soft and develop its flavor.
Step 3
Once the doughs are well-proofed, sprinkle fine salt evenly over the top. You can adjust the amount of salt according to your preference. If you enjoy a bit more texture, feel free to use coarse salt instead of fine salt. Make sure the salt is distributed evenly on the surface of the bread.
Step 4
Place the salted croissant doughs into your air fryer basket. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) and bake for about 8 minutes. The bread will turn golden brown, resulting in delicious salt bread that’s crispy on the outside and soft and buttery on the inside. It’s a good idea to check on them halfway through to ensure they don’t burn.
