Easy and Delicious Stir-Fried Bean Sprouts Recipe
Introducing a recipe for stir-fried bean sprouts that boasts a delightful crispiness and savory flavor, perfect for a quick and satisfying side dish.
Main Ingredients- 520g bean sprouts (washed thoroughly)
- 1/2 stalk green onion (sliced)
Seasoning- 4 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp fish sauce
- 2 Tbsp red pepper flakes
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 Tbsp natural seasoning (e.g., dried kelp powder, mushroom powder)
- Sunflower oil (or cooking oil), generous amount
- 4 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp fish sauce
- 2 Tbsp red pepper flakes
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 Tbsp natural seasoning (e.g., dried kelp powder, mushroom powder)
- Sunflower oil (or cooking oil), generous amount
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the bean sprouts thoroughly under running water and drain them in a colander. Then, place all the bean sprouts into a wide wok or a deep frying pan.
Step 2
Add about half a cup of water (using a soju cup as a measure). Be careful not to add too much water, as it can make the sprouts mushy. Cover the pan and cook over high heat for about 1-2 minutes, or until the bean sprouts have slightly wilted. They will steam and cook in their own released moisture.
Step 3
Once the bean sprouts have softened slightly, add the soy sauce, fish sauce, natural seasoning, red pepper flakes, and minced garlic. Drizzle a generous amount of sunflower oil over the ingredients. It’s best to distribute the seasonings evenly.
Step 4
Now, stir-fry everything quickly over high heat until well combined. The key to keeping the bean sprouts crispy is to stir-fry them rapidly for about 1-2 minutes, ensuring they don’t overcook and become soft.
Step 5
Finally, add the sliced green onions and sprinkle with sesame seeds for a nutty aroma.
Step 6
Give it one last quick toss to mix the green onions and sesame seeds evenly. Your delicious stir-fried bean sprouts are now ready to be enjoyed with a warm bowl of rice!
