Main Ingredients

  • 350g boiled and prepared sweet potato stems
  • 5 stalks of green onions

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, cut the boiled and prepared sweet potato stems into bite-sized pieces and place them in a bowl. Wash and finely chop the green onions. Now, add the minced garlic (1 Tbsp), soy sauce for soup (2 Tbsp), tuna extract (1 Tbsp), and dried shiitake mushroom powder (1 Tbsp) to the sweet potato stems. Gently mix everything together with your hands until well combined. Ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed.

Step 1

Step 2

Marinating the sweet potato stems in the seasoning mixture beforehand allows the flavors to penetrate deeply, resulting in a much richer and more profound taste. Letting it sit for about 10 minutes will enhance the flavor even further.

Step 2

Step 3

Transfer the seasoned sweet potato stems to a heated frying pan and begin stir-frying. Maintaining a medium-low heat is crucial to prevent burning and to bring out the natural flavors of the ingredients.

Step 3

Step 4

Stir-fry over medium-low heat for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until the sweet potato stems are tender. Once they are cooked to your desired tenderness, add the chopped green onions and stir-fry briefly over high heat for about a minute to preserve their crispness.

Step 4

Step 5

Finally, just before turning off the heat, drizzle in 1 Tbsp of sesame oil and 1 Tbsp of sesame seeds, then mix well. This completes your delicious stir-fried sweet potato stems. The subtle smoky aroma and nutty flavor will make it even more enjoyable.
