We made delicious tortilla chips using Jungsipdoh Soy Milk, butter, cheese, and a homemade syrup. The sweet and savory coating, combined with crunchy almonds, makes for an irresistible snack!
Ingredients- 5 Tbsp Jungsipdoh Soy Milk
- Sliced almonds, for sprinkling
- 2 Tortillas
- 2 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tsp Butter
- 1 slice Quattro cheese (or Cheddar cheese)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the Jungsipdoh Soy Milk, which will form the base of your almond tortilla chips. Ensure the soy milk is fresh.
Step 2
In a pan heated over medium heat, combine 5 tablespoons of Jungsipdoh Soy Milk, 1 teaspoon of butter, and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
Step 3
Reduce the heat to low and stir gently with a spatula or whisk until the sugar has completely dissolved without clumping. The key is to stir slowly to prevent burning.
Step 4
Once the sugar has melted and the syrup starts to look clear, add 1 slice of Quattro cheese and stir until it melts. The cheese adds a richer, more savory flavor.

After the cheese has melted, continue to stir over low heat. Cook until the syrup thickens slightly, becoming syrupy. Be careful not to overcook, as it can burn.

Your soy milk syrup is now ready! Remove it from the heat once it has a glossy and slightly thick consistency.

Spread the prepared soy milk syrup evenly over the tortillas using a spoon or brush. Aim for a thin, even coating.

Sprinkle sliced almonds generously over the syrup-coated tortillas. You can brush a little more syrup over the almonds to help them stick better and enhance the flavor.

Cut the tortillas into 8 equal wedges, similar to pizza slices, for easy handling and baking. You can cut them into your preferred shapes.

Place the cut tortilla wedges in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) and bake for about 5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Oven temperatures can vary, so keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
