  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • Sugar (to taste)

Step 1

First, gather all the ingredients for your Ramyeon Ttang. You can use your favorite brand of instant noodles. You’ll also need mayonnaise for creaminess and sugar for sweetness. The noodle soup powder will be used as a seasoning later.

Step 2

Open the instant noodle packet and carefully spread the noodles flat. Then, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise evenly over the noodles. Be thorough to ensure the seasoning distributes well for maximum flavor.

Next, sprinkle sugar generously over the mayonnaise-coated noodles. Adjust the sweetness according to your preference. Now, prepare the noodle soup powder. It’s important not to use the entire packet, as it can be too salty. We recommend using only about 1/4 of the powder to avoid an overly salty taste. Using too much seasoning can overpower the snack’s delicious balance.

Step 4

Flip the noodles over and repeat the process on the other side. Spread another tablespoon of mayonnaise evenly and sprinkle sugar on top.

Finally, sprinkle about 1/4 of the remaining noodle soup powder over this side as well. Once the seasoning is evenly applied, your Ramyeon Ttang is ready for cooking. This even coating ensures a delightful flavor after air frying.

Carefully place the seasoned noodles into the air fryer basket. If you don’t have an air fryer, you can also use a microwave. For microwave cooking, set it to 1000W and cook for approximately 2 minutes and 30 seconds to 2 minutes and 50 seconds.

Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 2 minutes. Then, place the Ramyeon Ttang inside and cook for another 2 minutes. Alternatively, you can start at 80°C (175°F) for 2 minutes and then increase the temperature and cook for an additional 2 minutes, checking the crispness. Cooking times may vary depending on your specific air fryer model, so keep an eye on it and adjust as needed.

Step 8

After a total of 4 minutes at 180°C (350°F), the Ramyeon Ttang is beautifully golden brown and perfectly crisp without any burnt spots. Be very careful when removing it, as it will be extremely hot! To prevent burns, handle with caution. Placing the Ramyeon Ttang on a wire rack to cool slightly will enhance its crispiness. Letting it cool for a bit is key to achieving the best texture.
