Super Easy! Delicious Ramyeon Ttang Recipe Using an Air Fryer

Crispy Air Fryer Ramyeon Ttang (Instant Noodle Snack)

When you run out of snacks, or feel peckish, Ramyeon Ttang is a perfect homemade treat! Using an air fryer makes it even quicker and crispier. I debated between making sweet potato sticks (Goguma Mattang) and Ramyeon Ttang, but decided on the simpler Ramyeon Ttang. Let’s make it today!

Essential Ingredients

  • 1 packet of instant noodles (Ramyeon)
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 2 Tbsp oligosaccharide (or corn syrup)
  • 2 Tbsp sugar

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Are you out of snacks and craving something easy to make at home? Ramyeon and sweet potatoes can both be turned into delicious treats. Today, we’re choosing the simplest and quickest option: ‘Ramyeon Ttang’! We’ll save the sweet potato dish for another day and start making Ramyeon Ttang right now.

Step 1

Step 2

Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F). Place one packet of instant noodles inside and cook for 5 minutes. I used to enjoy roasting raw instant noodles on the gas stove, but it’s been difficult with an induction cooktop. However, the air fryer makes it incredibly easy to get them perfectly crispy! (Set your timer for 5 minutes.)

Step 2

Step 3

After 5 minutes, take out the noodles and check their crispiness. If you prefer them even crunchier, I recommend cooking them for an additional 2 minutes, for a total of 7 minutes. These noodles, roasted until golden brown, are delicious on their own. You can also sprinkle them with sugar or dip them in a sauce. Today, however, we’ll make a sweet syrup to coat them.

Step 3

Step 4

In a small saucepan, combine 2 Tbsp water, 2 Tbsp oligosaccharide, and 2 Tbsp sugar. If you prefer less sweetness, feel free to adjust the amount of sugar or oligosaccharide. For me, this level of sweetness wasn’t too overpowering and tasted just right.

Step 4

Step 5

The most crucial tip when making the syrup: do NOT stir the ingredients after adding them! As they boil, the ingredients will naturally melt and form a syrup. Just let it cook undisturbed.

Step 5

Step 6

Once the syrup is ready, reduce the heat to the lowest setting. Add the crispy roasted noodles to the syrup. It’s important not to stir too vigorously here either, as the syrup can harden quickly. Gently mix the noodles to ensure they are evenly coated with the syrup.

Step 6

Step 7

Your sweet and crispy Ramyeon Ttang is ready! I finished the whole batch by myself in no time. Seeing the photos now makes me want to eat it again! It’s important to separate the noodles while the syrup is still warm to prevent them from sticking together. Although it might seem long when written out, Ramyeon Ttang is truly a simple snack. You should definitely give it a try!
