Ingredients
- Fresh spinach 200g
- 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp red pepper powder
- 2 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp fish sauce
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, thoroughly wash the fresh spinach under running water. It’s important to wash it meticulously to remove any dirt or debris. After washing, drain the spinach and cut it into bite-sized pieces (about 5-7 cm in length). Cutting it too long can make it difficult to mix, and too short might affect the texture, so aim for a suitable length.
Step 2
Now it’s time to make the delicious dressing. In a bowl, combine 1/2 Tbsp of minced garlic, 2 Tbsp of red pepper powder, 2 Tbsp of vinegar for a tangy flavor, 1 Tbsp of sugar for sweetness, 1 Tbsp of soy sauce for savory depth, 1 Tbsp of fish sauce for rich flavor, and finally, 1 Tbsp of sesame oil for nuttiness. Mix everything together evenly until well combined. Stir thoroughly to ensure the seasonings meld together.
Step 3
Place the prepared spinach into a wide bowl. Gently spread out the spinach so it doesn’t clump together, which will help in coating it evenly with the dressing later.
Step 4
Now, pour the delicious dressing evenly over the spinach. After adding the dressing, it’s crucial to gently toss the spinach with your hands, being careful not to mash the leaves. Mix delicately so that the dressing coats each spinach leaf uniformly. The key is to maintain its crisp texture!
