Creamy Crab Stick Ramen Recipe
Delicious Crab Stick Cream Ramen Using Imitation Crab and Milk
This is a creamy ramen featuring imitation crab sticks and milk. It offers a rich and comforting flavor reminiscent of pasta, making it an easy yet elegant meal to enjoy at home. The chewy texture of the imitation crab pairs wonderfully with the velvety cream sauce, creating a dish that’s universally loved.
Ingredients- Imitation crab sticks 40g (shredded)
- Onion 1/4 (thinly sliced)
- Butter 10g
- Minced garlic 1 Tbsp
- Mirin or cooking sake 1 Tbsp
- Milk 450ml
- Instant ramen 1 pack
- Sliced cheese 2 slices
- Salt 2 pinches (adjust to taste)
- Black pepper 2 pinches (optional)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Shred the imitation crab sticks into bite-sized pieces, separating them along the natural grain. This will enhance the texture and flavor release.
Step 2
Peel and thinly slice the onion. Slicing it thinly will help it cook down beautifully and add sweetness to the sauce.
Step 3
Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic. Pour in the mirin (or cooking sake) and sauté for about 2-3 minutes, until the onion becomes translucent and the garlic is fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Step 4
Once the aromatics are fragrant, pour in the milk and add the instant ramen noodles. If using a ramen soup packet, you can adjust the amount or omit it based on your preference. Bring the milk to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat slightly.
Step 5
When the ramen noodles are about 70% cooked (approximately 3-4 minutes), add the shredded imitation crab sticks and the two slices of processed cheese. Stir gently until the cheese is fully melted, creating a richer, creamier sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and continue to cook for another 1-2 minutes until the noodles are perfectly done. Your delicious crab stick cream ramen is ready!
