Curry Ingredients
  • 1 packet Curry Queen Cheese & Coconut
  • 1 potato
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 1 handful beef (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 2 slices processed cheese

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the ingredients into bite-sized pieces, perfect for enjoying with children. First, chop the potato, onion, and carrot you have in the refrigerator to your desired size. Today, I used leftover beef from shabu-shabu to make beef curry. Any type of meat like beef, pork, or ham works well, and feel free to use any vegetables you have on hand!

Step 2

Melt the butter in a pan. Be mindful not to add too much butter, as it can make the curry greasy. About 1 tablespoon should be sufficient.

Step 3

Once the butter is melted, add the chopped vegetables and sauté them until they become fragrant and slightly tender. The buttery aroma will fill your kitchen, making it smell wonderful.

Step 4

When the onions start to turn translucent, add the diced beef and stir-fry it with the vegetables. The beef, which was frozen from shabu-shabu, was easy to cut and broke down nicely as it cooked, making it ideal for children.

Step 5

Add a generous amount of water. The package recommends 2.5 cups of water, but using about 3 cups will result in a creamier and smoother curry, especially since we’re adding cheese later. Let it simmer over medium heat until the vegetables are tender.

Step 6

Once all the vegetables are cooked through, reduce the heat to low. Add the curry powder and stir gently until it’s completely dissolved and there are no lumps.

Step 7

After the curry powder is well incorporated, add 2 slices of processed cheese. You can use one slice, but two slices will give you a richer, milky flavor. (I always use two slices!) Stir gently until the cheese melts smoothly into the curry.

Step 8

Your delicious curry is ready! The ‘Curry Queen Cheese & Coconut’ beef curry is complete, boasting a beautiful, mild color and a rich, nutty aroma. Serve it over hot rice and enjoy!
