Main Ingredients

  • 4 fresh eggs
  • A little onion (approx. 1/4 small onion)
  • A little green onion (approx. 1/4 stalk)
  • A little carrot (approx. 1/4 carrot)
  • A little ham (approx. 20g)

Seasoning & Others

  • 1/5 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • A little cooking oil for greasing

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the vegetables and ham that will add richness to your egg roll. Finely mince the onion, green onion, and carrot. Dice the ham into small, similar-sized pieces. This ensures the egg roll doesn’t break apart and rolls up beautifully.

Step 1

Step 2

Crack the 4 fresh eggs into a bowl. Add 1/5 tsp of salt for flavor and 2 Tbsp of water for a softer texture. Whisk the eggs thoroughly with chopsticks or a whisk until the yolks and whites are completely combined. It’s important to mix until there are no lumps of egg white remaining.

Step 2

Step 3

Add the minced onion, green onion, carrot, and diced ham to the whisked eggs. Mix well with a spoon or spatula. Ensuring the vegetables are evenly distributed throughout the egg mixture will create a visually appealing and texturally delightful egg roll.

Step 3

Step 4

Now it’s time to make the egg roll. Heat a non-stick pan over low heat. Add just a small amount of cooking oil and spread it thinly to coat the entire surface of the pan. Pour half of the prepared egg mixture into the pan and spread it thinly. Once the edges of the egg start to cook and you see them firming up, use chopsticks or a spatula to carefully start rolling it up from one end. Begin by rolling a small section, then continue to roll it up, gradually making it larger for a beautiful roll shape.

Step 4

Step 5

Once you’ve rolled about half of the egg mixture, gently push it to one side of the pan. Pour the remaining egg mixture into the empty space. Continue to cook, letting the new egg mixture cook and then rolling the previously rolled part into it, joining them together naturally. Repeat this process two or three times until all the egg mixture is used. Once the roll is formed, let it cook over low heat for another 1-2 minutes, gently turning it to ensure it’s cooked through. It’s best to let the finished egg roll cool slightly before slicing; this prevents it from falling apart and ensures clean cuts. Slice it into your desired pieces and enjoy your delicious creation!
