Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Julienne all the vegetables (bell peppers, cucumber) and crab sticks into thin, long strips. Be mindful that if the strips are too thick, it will be difficult to roll the radish wraps.
Step 2
Ensuring the julienned strips have consistent thickness will result in neat and beautiful radish wraps. It’s easier to roll if the length is long, rather than the thickness being too great.
Step 3
Rinse the sprouts thoroughly and drain them. The crisp texture of the sprouts will add freshness to the radish wraps.
Step 4
Separate the egg whites and yolks. Pan-fry them separately into thin omelets (jidan), then julienne them. The egg omelet strips add a soft texture and color to the wraps.
Step 5
Blanch the chives briefly in boiling water, then rinse them in cold water and drain. The blanched chives will be used to tie the radish wraps together after they are rolled, for a neat finish.
Step 6
Instead of unfolding each radish wrap one by one, lay several wraps overlapping each other to create a larger surface. This saves time and makes it easier to arrange the fillings.
Step 7
Arrange the prepared vegetables, crab sticks, and egg omelet strips attractively over the radish wraps, according to your preference. Consider the harmony of colors for a more appetizing presentation.
Step 8
Layer the ingredients harmoniously. The freshness of the vegetables, the flavor of the crab sticks, and the softness of the eggs will combine to create a delicious filling.
Step 9
Carefully roll the wraps tightly so that the fillings do not spill out. The transparent nature of the radish wrap subtly reveals the colorful ingredients within, creating a beautiful visual.
Step 10
For the well-rolled radish wraps, gently tie them in the middle with the prepared chives to secure them. Tying with chives prevents them from unraveling and makes them look tidier and more elegant.
Step 11
Tying the wraps with chives gives the radish wraps a neater and more professional appearance. They look presentable enough for any festive table, such as holiday gatherings.
Step 12
The finished radish wraps boast a stunning visual appeal, making them an excellent choice for entertaining guests. The harmonious blend of colorful ingredients adds to the dining pleasure.
Step 13
Serve the completed radish wraps with black sesame sauce, peanut sauce, or salad dressing. Each sauce enhances the flavor of the radish wraps, making for a truly exceptional meal.
