Recipe Info

  • Category : Dessert
  • Ingredient Category : Flour / Wheat
  • Occasion : Snack
  • Cooking : Grilled / Roasted
  • Servings : 4 servings
  • Cooking Time : Within 60 minutes
  • Difficulty : Anyone

Essential Ingredients

  • 2 room temperature eggs
  • 140g melted unsalted butter
  • 1 box brownie mix
  • 3 Tbsp marshmallow fluff
  • Pinch of powdered sugar (for decoration)
  • A few edible sprinkles (for decoration)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Carefully fold the paper baking mold included with the brownie mix according to the instructions. Ensure the mold is securely fastened to prevent the batter from leaking.

Step 1

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the 2 room temperature eggs, 140g of melted unsalted butter, and the 1 box of brownie mix. Whisk or stir with a spatula until smooth and free of lumps. It’s important that all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Step 2

Step 3

Gently pour the prepared brownie batter into the paper baking mold. It’s best to fill the mold with an appropriate amount so the batter doesn’t overflow the edges.

Step 3

Step 4

After pouring the batter, use a spatula to spread and level the surface evenly. This will ensure the top of the cake is uniform when baked.

Step 4

Step 5

Place the mold with the batter into the microwave and cook for approximately 2 minutes and 30 seconds on 700W. (Cooking time may vary depending on your microwave’s wattage. You can test for doneness by inserting a skewer; if it comes out clean, it’s ready.)

Step 5

Step 6

Once removed from the microwave, let the brownie cool completely inside the mold. It’s important to let it cool thoroughly before carefully removing it from the mold to prevent it from breaking.

Step 6

Step 7

Using circular cookie cutters of various sizes (starting with the largest), cut out brownie pieces to stack for the tree. Prepare a large circle for the base, a medium circle, and a small circle for the layers.

Step 7

Step 8

Use a small star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out a star shape from a piece of the brownie. This star will be used to decorate the very top of the tree.

Step 8

Step 9

Place 3 tablespoons of marshmallow fluff in a small bowl and microwave for about 20-30 seconds until slightly melted. It should be slightly gooey and sticky for easy spreading.

Step 9

Step 10

Place the largest circular brownie onto the serving plate. Spread a thin layer of the slightly melted marshmallow fluff on top. This will act as the ‘glue’ for your cake layers.

Step 10

Step 11

Place the next largest circular brownie on top, and spread another layer of fluff. Continue this process, stacking progressively smaller brownie circles and spreading fluff between each layer, to build your Christmas tree shape. The fluff will help hold the layers securely.

Step 11

Step 12

Lightly dust the assembled tree cake with powdered sugar using a sieve, creating a snowy effect.

Step 12

Step 13

Decorate the top of the tree with the brownie star you prepared earlier. Freely use the sprinkles and mini chocolate balls to adorn the base of the tree and the cake, making it look even more festive and beautiful.

Step 13

Step 14

Your homemade, oven-free Christmas tree cake is ready! It’s a feast for both the eyes and the palate. Enjoy!
