Main Ingredients- 10 King Oyster Mushrooms
- 1 Green Onion (Scallion)
- 1 Tbsp Butter
Sauce- 5 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Mirin (or Cooking Sake)
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Oligodang (Corn Syrup)
- 1/2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 Tbsp Perilla Oil (or Sesame Oil)
- 1 Soju Cup (approx. 50ml) Water
- 5 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Mirin (or Cooking Sake)
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Oligodang (Corn Syrup)
- 1/2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 Tbsp Perilla Oil (or Sesame Oil)
- 1 Soju Cup (approx. 50ml) Water

First, prepare the fresh King Oyster Mushrooms. Trim off any dirty parts from the base of the mushrooms. Slice the thick stems diagonally into about 1 cm thick pieces. Chop the green onion finely.

Now, let’s make the flavorful sauce. In a bowl, combine 5 Tbsp Soy Sauce, 2 Tbsp Oligodang, 1/2 Tbsp Minced Garlic, 1 Tbsp Mirin, 1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce, 1 Tbsp Perilla Oil, 1 Tbsp Sugar, and 1 Soju Cup (approx. 50ml) of Water. Whisk everything together until well combined. (Using sesame oil instead of perilla oil will also add a nice nutty flavor.)
Step 4
Heat a pan over medium-low heat and add 1 Tbsp Butter. Once the butter is melted, add the sliced King Oyster Mushrooms. Pan-fry them on both sides until they turn a nice golden brown, allowing them to absorb the buttery flavor. They taste even better when slightly browned!

Once the mushrooms are nicely browned, pour 2-3 Tbsp of the prepared sauce into the pan. Reduce the heat to low. Flip the mushrooms back and forth, letting the sauce coat them evenly and simmer until it thickens slightly. Be careful not to burn them, and cook until they have a glossy finish.
