Step 1
Let’s start by making delicious dried figs! First, gently wash the fresh figs under running water. It’s important to remove any dirt or debris that might be on the skin to ensure hygienic preparation.

After washing, remove the stems from the figs. Then, cut them into bite-sized pieces. Typically, cutting them into 4 or 6 sections is ideal. Arrange the cut figs on the dehydrator trays, making sure they don’t overlap. This ensures even drying and prevents mold formation.
Step 3
Now it’s time to dry the figs using a dehydrator. Drying them at around 60-70℃ (140-158℉) for approximately 10 hours will result in chewy and sweet dried figs. The drying time can vary depending on the moisture content of the figs and the performance of your dehydrator. Check them periodically and continue drying until they reach your desired chewy texture. Once done, store the dried figs in an airtight container in a cool place to enjoy them for a long time.
