Main Ingredients
  • Rice paper wrappers (10-12 sheets)
  • A handful of fresh bean sprouts (approx. 50g)
  • 1 serving of store-bought Jjolmyeon noodle kit
  • Warm water (for softening rice paper)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, lightly rinse the fresh bean sprouts under cold running water and drain them well in a colander. Set aside. It’s important to keep them crisp for the best texture.

Step 2

Prepare the Jjolmyeon noodles according to the instructions on the kit. Typically, you’ll rinse the noodles in cold water to make them firm, then mix them with the included Jjolmyeon sauce. Reserve about one-third of the sauce for later use as a dipping sauce or to adjust the seasoning. This way, you can easily control the noodle’s taste and have a sauce for dipping your rolls.

Step 3

Prepare a shallow dish of warm water. Dip one sheet of rice paper into the water for about 10-15 seconds, front and back, until it’s pliable but not overly soft. Be careful, as too much soaking can cause it to tear. Place the softened rice paper on a clean surface and arrange a layer of the prepared bean sprouts on one half.

Step 4

Place a portion of the mixed Jjolmyeon noodles over the bean sprouts. Be mindful not to overfill, as too much filling can cause the rice paper to break.

Step 5

Carefully fold the sides of the rice paper inward, then roll it up tightly from the bottom, ensuring the filling stays securely inside. Arrange the finished spring rolls on a plate. Serve with the reserved Jjolmyeon sauce and a dollop of wasabi, if desired. Feel free to add other favorite vegetables to your rolls!
