Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Hello everyone! Today, we’re going to make a delicious and healthy ‘Dotori Muk Jeon’. You’ll discover a whole new charm compared to eating plain jelly!
Step 2
First, slice the acorn jelly into bite-sized pieces. To ensure a good chewy texture, slice them about 1cm thick; if they’re too thin, they might fall apart.
Step 3
Coat the sliced acorn jelly evenly with all-purpose flour. Once coated in flour, dip them thoroughly in the beaten egg. This coating will help the pieces stick together and become delightfully crispy when fried.
Step 4
Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat and add a generous amount of cooking oil. Carefully place the egg-coated acorn jelly slices in a single layer. Ensure the pan is well-heated to prevent sticking and achieve a beautiful golden-brown sear.
Step 5
Once the acorn jelly starts to cook, artfully arrange the crown daisy on top. The aromatic crown daisy will enhance the overall flavor, adding a lovely freshness. You can substitute with other green vegetables if you prefer.
Step 6
Reduce the heat to medium-low and pan-fry, flipping occasionally, until both sides are golden brown and crispy. It’s important to manage the heat carefully to prevent burning. Continue cooking until each side is beautifully golden.
Step 7
Your delicious Dotori Muk Jeon is ready to be enjoyed! Dip them in the prepared dipping sauce. These freshly fried, warm, and chewy pancakes are truly captivating. Enjoy your cooking and savor every bite!
