Main Ingredients

  • Chicken breast 150g
  • Cheongyang peppers 2

Seasoning & Others

  • Minced garlic 1 Tbsp
  • Oyster sauce 1 Tbsp
  • Soy sauce 1 Tbsp
  • Oligosaccharide 1/2 Tbsp
  • Butter 1 Tbsp
  • Pepper, a pinch (to taste)
  • Sesame seeds 1 Tbsp

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the fresh chicken breast lightly under running water. Pat it thoroughly dry with paper towels. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper to remove any gamey smell and enhance the flavor.

Step 1

Step 2

Dice the seasoned chicken breast into bite-sized cubes, about 2cm in size. Cubing ensures even cooking and allows the sauce to penetrate the meat well.

Step 2

Step 3

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Add a little cooking oil and swirl the pan to coat the surface evenly with a thin layer of oil. This prevents sticking and helps cook the chicken breast moistly.

Step 3

Step 4

Add the prepared chicken breast to the skillet and begin to stir-fry. Cook until the surface of the chicken breast turns white.

Step 4

Step 5

Continue stir-frying over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent sticking. Once the chicken breast is somewhat cooked and the surface has firmed up, proceed to the next step.

Step 5

Step 6

When the chicken breast is about 70-80% cooked, add 1 Tbsp of butter to the pan. The melting butter will coat the chicken breast with a rich, savory flavor.

Step 6

Step 7

Once the butter has melted and is well incorporated with the chicken breast, add the finely chopped Cheongyang peppers. Then, add the seasoning ingredients: 1 Tbsp oyster sauce, 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 1/2 Tbsp oligosaccharide, and a pinch of pepper. Stir-fry everything together until the sauce evenly coats the chicken breast.

Step 7

Step 8

Increase the heat to high and stir-fry quickly for 1-2 minutes. This step caramelizes the sauce without burning, giving the ingredients a glossy finish and intensifying the flavors.

Step 8

Step 9

Turn off the heat. Sprinkle 1 Tbsp of toasted sesame seeds over the stir-fry and mix lightly. Your delicious Cheongyang Pepper Butter Chicken Breast Stir-Fry is ready! Enjoy it while it’s warm.
