Ingredients

  • 3 fresh eggs
  • 1 slice of cheese
  • 1 piece of crab stick (surimi)
  • 1 strip of bacon
  • 1/4 stalk of green onion (white part) or a little scallion
  • 1 tbsp flying fish roe (optional, for texture)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the ingredients that will add richness to your rolled omelet. Gather your smooth slice of cheese, the chewy crab stick, flavorful bacon, and crisp green onion. Cutting them into similar sizes will help create a beautifully shaped omelet.

Step 1

Step 2

In a clean bowl, crack 3 eggs and carefully separate the yolks from the whites. To the egg whites, add the finely shredded or chopped crab stick, minced green onion, and flying fish roe. Gently whisk them together with chopsticks until well combined. (Tip: Flying fish roe adds a delightful pop, but you can omit it if you prefer.)

Step 2

Step 3

Lightly grease a non-stick pan heated over low heat. Pour in the separated egg white mixture and spread it thinly by tilting the pan. Starting from one end, carefully roll it up. Push the cooked portion to one side of the pan, add more egg white mixture to the empty space, and continue rolling. Repeat this process to create a long, cylindrical omelet shape using only the egg whites.

Step 3

Step 4

Heat another non-stick pan over low heat and pour in the remaining egg yolk mixture, spreading it thinly. Once the yolk is halfway cooked, place the slice of cheese neatly along one edge.

Step 4

Step 5

Lay the strip of bacon over the cheese. The bacon will add a savory flavor and a crispy texture to your omelet.

Step 5

Step 6

Now, carefully place the previously made white egg omelet on top of the yolk, cheese, and bacon. Gently press down to ensure the white omelet sits securely on top.

Step 6

Step 7

Starting from the bottom, slowly and carefully roll up all the ingredients, embracing them as you go. It’s important to roll it tightly to prevent the cheese from oozing out. Shape it into a neat, round cylinder.

Step 7

Step 8

Cook just until the cheese inside is slightly melted. Then, carefully remove the rolled omelet from the pan. Let it cool slightly before slicing it into bite-sized pieces and arranging them beautifully on a plate. Your special rolled omelet, both visually appealing and delicious, is now ready! ♥
