Buttery Garlic Shrimp: An Effortless Late-Night Snack
Easy Butter Garlic Shrimp Recipe: A Simple and Delicious Late-Night Treat
My spouse and I absolutely love enjoying a light snack with a can of beer late at night. For late-night eats, convenience and easy cleanup are key, right? The Butter Garlic Shrimp I’m sharing today is exactly that kind of dish! It’s perfect for satisfying those midnight cravings without any fuss.
Ingredients- 10 frozen shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 10g butter
- A drizzle of olive oil
- Pinch of black pepper
- Pinch of salt
- 1 Tbsp oligosaccharide (or honey)
- Parsley flakes, for garnish
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, place the frozen shrimp in a bowl of cold water to thaw for about 10 minutes. Gently pat them dry with paper towels once thawed to ensure a good sear and prevent excess moisture during cooking.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine 1 Tbsp minced garlic, 10g of softened butter, 1 Tbsp of oligosaccharide (or honey for a similar sweetness), and a sprinkle of parsley flakes. Mix well with a fork or spoon until you have a smooth, fragrant butter-garlic sauce. This sauce is the star of the dish!
Step 3
To the thawed and dried shrimp, add a drizzle of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of black pepper. Toss everything together gently with your hands, ensuring each shrimp is lightly coated. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Step 4
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once warm, carefully add the marinated shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until they start to turn pink and slightly opaque. Avoid overcrowding the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
Step 5
When the shrimp are about halfway cooked, pour the prepared butter-garlic sauce over them. Toss continuously to coat the shrimp evenly as the sauce thickens slightly. Continue to cook for another 1-2 minutes, or until the shrimp are fully cooked and coated in the glossy, flavorful sauce. Serve immediately and enjoy!
